I'm Kendall McDermott. I'm a young, LA-based theater director currently studying at Wesleyan University.

I believe the best shows meld entertainment with a depth of content.  A show’s purpose should not come at a cost of its entertainment value, nor should a show provide merely surface entertainment. I like shows that address serious issues; that ask real, meaningful questions of the audience. What happens when you turn a blind eye to the realities happening in your country? Where’s the line between love and obsession? How much is someone willing to sacrifice for their success? I'm drawn to working on any type of show - musical or play - that I feel has both those qualities.
